HILLSDALE – Capt. Sean Smith of the Hillsdale Police Department was acknowledged for his 20 years of service to the community by local officials in a brief presentation at the Feb. 7 mayor and council meeting.
Mayor Doug Frank started the proceedings by introducing Chief of Police Robert Francaviglia, who presided over the ceremony and presented Smith a plaque commemorating his dedication and service to the borough.
“Capt. Smith has served the community for 20 years with pride and dedication," Francaviglia
“I’m proud to call him my right-hand man as well as a friend,” the police chief added. “He’s caring and an inspiration to the men and women who serve under him. I want to publicly thank him for his 20 years of service to the Borough of Hillsdale.”
