WESTWOOD—The Garden Party, held on Aug. 15, is a members’ social event founded by The Contemporaries committee of GFWC/NJSFWC The Woman’s Club of Westwood.

This midsummer gathering offers an opportunity to wine and dine in a backyard setting while celebrating the club’s largest beneficiaries—organizations that received donations throughout the club year.

Good works, great folks! The Garden Party, held on Aug. 15, is a members’ social event founded by The Contemporaries committee of GFWC/NJSFWC The Woman’s Club of Westwood. Via Madeleine Ciocco.

The club reports, “A total of $1,125 was donated to Celebrate Westwood Arts Hub to support the arts in our community, and $500 was donated to Meals on Wheels of North Jersey. These funds were raised through the club’s signature social events earlier in the year, including Dueling Pianos, a public charity event, and The Contemporaries Committee Annual Progressive Dinner in April.

Members also contributed school snacks for local students, which were donated to the Borough’s Back to School Drive.

The club says, “Thank you to venue host Kathy Dean, co-chairs Anna Liu and Heather Govic, and the entire committee who volunteered to make this event a success.”
