Explore “Gardens of the Garden State,” with Edith Wallace at the Demarest Garden Club’s next meeting, April 5 at 2 p.m.
The meeting features historian Wallace, a Rutgers University zoology Ph.D., who will discuss the many New Jersey gardens that are enjoyable and inspirational.
The meeting will be held at the United Methodist Church Social Hall, 109 Hardenburgh Ave., Demarest.
“Dr. Wallace, former professor and chair of the Biology Department at William Paterson University, has also authored numerous papers in ornamental horticulture and holds many certificates in that field,” the club told Northern Valley Press.
They invite you to “come and enjoy this presentation. Perhaps bring a friend so you can plan some future horticultural visits of your own.”
Wallace’s credentials include serving as past president of Glen Rock Garden Club and the Passaic County Master Gardeners. She has toured gardens, arboreta and nature centers throughout the region and continues to write on topics such as crickets, rhododendrons, hydrangeas, azaleas, and geraniums.
