Adopt Chilli: A Heartwarming Tale of a Loving Terrier Mix

Chilli, a sweet princess with a past, is in need of a forever home.

ENGLEWOOD—Chilli, “a sweet princess with a past,” is in need of a forever home. Originally brought up from the South just over three years ago, this terrier mix was adopted at the tender age of 7 months on Nov. 19, 2023. Her mix is unknown, but she’s 100% cuteness.

Now Chilli finds herself back with Save The Animals Rescue Team II (START II), a local non-profit, no-kill, all-volunteer animal rescue group, which says “Sadly, Chilli’s original owner passed away, and his father, who took custody of her, has found it challenging to care for her. Consequently, he had to surrender her back.”

Chilli is described as “a happy-go-lucky dog who will instantly capture your heart. She is energetic and loves to play, making a fenced-in yard essential for her new home. Despite her playful nature, she transforms into a perfect lap dog once she expends her energy. Chilli adores attention and is fabulous with people and children of all ages, bonding quickly with everyone she meets. However, Chilli cannot go to a home with cats or other dogs.”

The rescue says “Her endearing ears and expressive eyes will melt your soul and leave you wondering what she’s thinking.” Chilli is up to date on all routine shots and is spayed.

Chilli and her friends are available for adoption at Save The Animals Rescue Team II. Interested adopters are encouraged to fill out an online application and schedule an appointment to visit her. If you or anyone you know is interested in adopting Chilli or another fur baby, call Marge at (732) 330-6692 or write START II at start2@yahoo.com.

START II says “Additionally, spreading the word about the importance of spaying and neutering pets is crucial. Many programs are available to assist those in need, and preventing overpopulation is a matter of life and death.”

Animal lovers with spare time can join START II’s team by filling out a volunteer application at startii.org. The organization says your contribution can make a significant difference in the lives of animals like Chilli.
