ENGLEWOOD, N.J.—Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of Luis G. Ocampo, 63, single and unemployed, of Englewood, on one count of sexual assault and one count of endangering the welfare of a child.

The arrest, announced Feb. 24, is the result of a joint investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti and the Englewood Police Department under the direction of Chief Lawrence Suffern.

On Thursday, Feb. 20 the Englewood Police Department contacted Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding the sexual assault of a juvenile, 10, on multiple occasions by Ocampo. An investigation was initiated by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Englewood Police Department.

As a result of the investigation, on Feb. 20 Ocampo, a Colombian national, was arrested and charged. He was transported to the Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court.
