An internationally-renowned, holistic brain-based education method—pioneered by South Korean educator and author Ilchi Lee to boost human brain potential—will be explained at a free open house in a program titled “Brain Education for Kids” on Saturday, Sept. 22 from noon to 1 and 2 to 3 p.m. at CGI Holistic Fitness & Spa at 111 Homans Ave., Closter.
The unique Brain Education program—recently recognized by the president of El Salvador—is just one of many such brain-based, holistic activities for physical, emotional and mental skill-building for kids ages 6 to 12 years old, said Kyla Heo, general manager and director of CGI.
Help your child build healthy habits to perform better in school, discover his or her unlimited creativity, and build self-confidence and social skills for future success.
Brain Education (BE) is a revolutionary holistic education model designed to awaken your child’s “Power Brain” to create health, happiness, and peace for optimal achievement in life, said Heo.
Heo notes that the BE approach is deeply experiential.
“Teachers and parents commonly report that students become more receptive to information and improve their information processing skills to reinforce their learning and promote a more engaging and joyful overall life experience,” said Heo.
For two decades, CGI has specialized in BE offerings.
“CGI offers a harmonious and peaceful environment as well as a dedicated team of deeply caring professionals who provide both powerful and sincere encouragement to each client who walks through our door,” says Heo.
CGI Holistic FItness & Spa recently celebrated the official recognition and honor bestowed on Lee’s brain education efforts in El Salvador by Salvadoran President Salvador Sanchez Ceren.
Lee has fulfilled his dream of making Brain Education an academic discipline. Recognized by the government of the Republic of Korea, Brain Education is now being taught in schools Lee founded at the graduate, undergraduate, and high school levels.
In the future, Lee hopes to extend the curriculum to the elementary and pre-elementary levels. In addition, brain education has been incorporated into existing elementary and high schools in South Korea and the United States.
CGI has been providing brain education to the community for 20 years in the form of yoga and tai chi classes, holistic healing and workshops, health and life coaching, kids classes, brain education family retreats, and outreach classes in hospitals, senior centers, and more.
Celebrating its 20th anniversary, CGI will be hosting a benefit dinner at the DoubleTree Hilton Hotel in Fort Lee on Saturday, Nov. 17 at 6 p.m.
