HILLSDALE, N.J.— Local author Rosa L. Antonini will return to Barnes & Noble at the Fashion Center in Paramus for a signing of her new book, Resourcefulness: The Hidden Power Smarter Than Talent, IQ, & Technology, on Friday, July 31, at 6:30 p.m.
The appearance follows Antonini’s June launch events in Hillsdale, Paramus and New York City for the book, which explores resourcefulness as a capacity people can strengthen to respond, adapt and create amid uncertainty.
Antonini also announced that the Resourcefulness e-book will be available through Amazon for 99 cents for one day only, Wednesday, July 22.
The author recently shared an example of the local response to the book and to Pascack Press coverage of its release. During a visit to Invision Optics in Westwood, Antonini said Paula Krantz, a sales associate there, showed her a saved copy of the newspaper with portions of the article highlighted.
“The connection she felt to the message, and the warmth and gratitude she expressed, were incredibly rewarding,” Antonini said.
Moved by the encounter, Antonini later returned with a signed copy of the book for her.
“Seeing Paula holding onto the article reminded me that local journalism can create connections we may never otherwise know happened,” she said.
Antonini, a Hillsdale resident since 2018, is a software engineer and data architect whose work draws on systems thinking, behavioral science and personal experience. Her book argues that talent, intelligence and technology are not enough by themselves, and that resourcefulness can help people recognize patterns, identify opportunities and move forward without denying hardship or uncertainty.
Barnes & Noble is at the Fashion Center, 765 Route 17 South, Paramus. The July 31 signing is open to the public.
