CLOSTER, N.J.—The March exhibition at the Belskie Museum of Art and Science features work by 150 students attending the Bergen County Technical High School in Teterboro. On display are works from the fashion design and merchandising, commercial art and graphic design, and digital arts and media design students.
According to fashion design teacher Anna George, her students were given the theme of classic movies. Working in groups, they picked a character and developed their interpretation after doing in-depth research.
Many of these students who are in their junior year will go on to higher education at schools like Pratt and FIT. Other student works utilize acrylics and mixed media to communicate their artistic intent with topics of “Love,” “Calm,” “Presence,” “Now” and “Focus.”
The exhibition can be seen on weekends until March 24 from 1 to 5 p.m.
The Belskie Museum is located at 280 High Street in Closter adjacent to the Closter Public Library. Admission is free.
