PASCACK VALLEY— Bergen County election officials will answer residents’ questions about voting procedures, ballot security and voter rights during a virtual information session Tuesday, Sept. 22, at 7 p.m.
The program, “Voting and Security: Bergen County Election Officials Answer your Questions,” will take place on Zoom ahead of the 2026 general election.
The League of Women Voters chapters in Fair Lawn, Glen Rock, Northern Valley, Ridgewood and Teaneck are hosting the session.
Featured speakers from the Bergen County Clerk’s Office are Sabrina H. Taranto, Elections Division supervisor, and Steve Chong, deputy county clerk.
Discussion topics include the new vote-by-mail design, ballot drop boxes, U.S. Postal Service postmark rules and ballot tracking. Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions directly of the officials.
The league’s event flyer also lists voter protections under New Jersey’s John R. Lewis Voter Empowerment Act among the subjects to be discussed.
