Borough to host urgent community blood drive Tuesday at Tice Senior Center

Blood drive

WOODCLIFF LAKE — Borough officials are urging residents to donate at an “urgent community blood drive” scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 6, at the Tice Senior Community Center, as regional blood supplies often dip during the winter months.

The drive will run 1 to 7 p.m. and will be hosted by New Jersey Blood Services. Walk-ins are welcome, though registration is encouraged, borough officials said.

In an email to Pascack Press, Ryan Magee, Woodcliff Lake’s director of Parks & Recreation, noted that winter is among the most challenging seasons for maintaining an adequate blood supply, as donations decline while hospital demand remains high.
