Business will be blooming April 27 in Harrington Park

Big discussion on which plants to choose.

HARRINGTON PARK, N.J.—The Garden Club of Harrington Park will hold its Perennial Plant Sale on Saturday, April 27,  from 9 a.m. to noon in the Harrington Borough Hall Parking Lot, corner of Herring Street and Harriet Avenue, Harrington Park.

The sale will feature a wide selection of premium nursery stock plus lots of “Home Growns” direct from the gardens of Garden Club members. Choices will include old time favorites plus new unique varieties, for both shade and sunny locations, with emphasis on “deer resistant.”

Garden Club members will be on hand to suggest and advise which plants will thrive in what situations or exposures.

There will also be a “Garden Treasure Table” where you might find a decorative pot, a garden book, or perhaps a garden tool. And enjoy a free cup of coffee and a slice of delicious crumb cake while you browse.

This is the Garden Club’s only fund raiser. It supports their town beautification projects—planting and maintaining the barrels on LaRoche Avenue and the Old Burying Grounds—plus enables them to enjoy interesting and informative speakers at their monthly meetings.

The Garden Club holds meetings August through May which are open to all gardeners, active or armchair, from all towns.
