Back in Time

Kristin Beuscher, columnist and president of the Pascack Historical Society, takes readers on a journey back in time through the Pascack Valley and Northern Valley’s rich history. Dated to around 1900, this photograph captures a scene outside the Woodcliff railroad station in an era before automobiles. A sign on the depot reads Woodcliff, placing this before 1910 when Lake was added to the name. The change reflected the borough's new man-made reservoir.
