More than two dozen New Jersey towns have filed a federal lawsuit challenging the state’s affordable housing mandate, claiming it was shaped by “backroom deals” between officials and special interests. The suit, filed in U.S. District Court, names Attorney General Matthew Platkin and Acting Courts Director Michael Blee, and seeks to block enforcement of the current laws, arguing they violate the state constitution.
