To the editor:
I urge all Westwood residents to vote for Council President Ray Arroyo for mayor and to reelect Councilwoman Beth Dell and Councilman Rob Bicocchi.
These three dedicated public servants have consistently proven that they not only have the experience to serve, but the desire to do whatever is best for their residents. They have fought overdevelopment, supported local emergency services, and done everything in their power to protect the character of the downtown. I have had the opportunity to get to know them and have been able to see the tireless efforts they make each and everyday to ensure that Westwood stays the small, vibrant community that everyone knows and loves.
Westwood would be lucky to have Ray Arroyo as mayor and I am confident that his many years of experience make him the best choice to take the helm of the Westwood governing body.
I endorse Assemblywoman Holly Schepisi and Assemblyman Robert Auth as they seek reelection. Both have spent their time in Trenton fighting overdevelopment, higher taxes, and pushing for a fair school funding formula that would provide some property tax relief to the residents in the 39th District. We need to make sure they keep their seats in Trenton because now, more than ever, we need representatives who possess common sense, are not beholden to special interests and truly want what is best for their constituents.
On Nov. 5 I encourage you to vote Column 1. I assure you they won’t let you down.
Danielle DiPaola
Mayor of Emerson
