To the editor:
I enthusiastically endorse the superbly balanced slate of Linda Albelli and Clifton Lewis for Closter Council. As a 49 year resident, I am pleased that Linda offers the invaluable experiences of being born and raised in town and that Clifton brings his native Montanan niceness and fresh insights to his home of 21 years. Linda certainly has appropriate job experience, as she has served on the Closter Council (2001-2006) as President, Chair of Finance, DPW, Police Committee member, liaison to the Board of Education, Volunteer Ambulance Corps and Zoning Board of Adjustment. Clifton’s resume includes an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business, career in structured finance and participation in the local political action organization, Bergen Grassroots.
When knocking on doors all over Closter with the candidates, many residents sang their praises of Linda and lots engaged in discussions of local issues with Clifton. Both have proven themselves to be engaged listeners, concerned with finding solutions to problems and celebrating our proud traditions. They have the skills and commitment to represent you and to help guide Closter’s future growth and change.
