HILLSDALE—Kevin Donatello said he was “nominated and unanimously voted by the Board to serve as President of the Board of Education” at the board’s annual reorganization meeting.

“I’m really grateful to share” the news, Donatello wrote in a Facebook post. “This role truly means a lot to me.”

Donatello wrote that he has served “as a Board of Education Trustee since 2022,” and said he has also held leadership roles as “Supervisor of Instruction for Bergen County Technical Schools – Career Innovation High School, Camp Director for Camp Little Hawks in Hillsdale, and Hillsdale Recreation Basketball Coordinator.” “Each of these experiences has shaped how I lead, how I listen, and how I show up for others,” he wrote, “and they’ve all helped prepare me for this opportunity.”

“I also want to sincerely thank the former Board of Education trustees I’ve worked with over the past several years,” he wrote. “I’ve learned so much from each of you, and I truly appreciate the guidance, perspective, and support you’ve shared with me along the way.”

Donatello added, “I’m looking forward to continuing this work alongside my fellow board members, our administrators, educators, and our community.”

The post drew a stream of congratulations in the comments.
