WESTWOOD—Habitat for Humanity of Bergen County’s ReStore is thrilled to announce two exciting events: its sixth anniversary celebration, Saturday, Sept. 9, and the return of Homes for Hounds. Both are at ReStore, 121 Carver Ave. The entrance is on Hooper Avenue.

At the anniversary event, you can enjoy special discounts — everything in the store is 20% off — a tricky tray, and food and drinks while discovering gems for your home, in everything from shabby chic to classic pieces of furniture.

Running concurrently, ReStore’s cherished Homes for Hounds is back. ReStore says “Mark your calendars for Saturday, Sept. 9, when you can witness nine splendid doghouses built by nine dedicated teams. Be sure to participate in the voting process, starting on Sept. 6, with the winning doghouse announcement set for Saturday, Sept. 16. Vote at habitatbergen.org.”

Bergen Habitat adds, “Finally, we have three adorable rescues available for adoption! Your adoption will bring joy not only to your life but also to theirs. Come, make a difference today!”

The mission of Habitat for Humanity of Bergen County is to provide decent, affordable homes for hardworking Bergen County families. “We join in a common goal with other affiliates of this international organization to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness by working in partnership with people in need. Using volunteer labor and donated funds and materials, Habitat builds or rehabilitates simple, decent, homes and sells them to hard working families through a zero-interest mortgage. Habitat is a people-to-people partnership, which joins together all people regardless of race, nationality, religion or socioeconomic status.”
