RIVER VALE—Due to strong public interest in major improvements proposed for Edgewood Country Club, the application’s first Joint Planning Board public hearing has been moved from Oct. 27 on Zoom to a special session on Thursday, Nov. 11 at 7:30 p.m. at the River Vale Community/Senior Center, 628 Rivervale Road.

Maria Haag, the board land use administrator, told Pascack Press that public interest in Edgewood’s application for a new building and improvements to golf and tennis facilities caused the board to move the application’s first hearing to an in-person meeting, with no Zoom or electronic broadcast offered.

We previewed Edgewood Golf Course Realty LLC’s application in some detail in “New buildings, greens, tennis dome sought at Edgewood,” Pascack Press, Oct. 25, 2021.

The applicant’s proposal for preliminary and final site plan approval requests eight variances from borough ordinances.

The board said it is prepared to continue the Nov. 11 hearing to Nov. 23 at 7:30 p.m. at the community/senior center, should this prove necessary.
