EMERSON, N.J.—Emerson is celebrating Earth Week, April 22–28, with a series of events sure to keep The Family Town in the green.

Preserving the local environment and its resources for generations to come is at the heart of everything the borough’s Environmental Commission does.

According to commission Chairwoman Stephanie Clark in a note to Pascack Press, “We saw an opportunity this year to introduce an Earth Week campaign as a way to deliver annual traditions, like our Arbor Day Ceremony, as well as some new ideas, such as our Walk to School Day at Emerson Jr./Sr. High School.”

Clark added, “Through Emerson Earth Week it is our shared goal to educate and engage our community around the small actions we can all take, at any age, to make a big impact—here in Emerson and beyond.”
