ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J.—Good food, good music and good neighbors are always a winning combination for Englewood Cliffs.
On June 14, the annual Community Night Out at Witte Field provided all of these attractions and brought together hundreds of residents.
The weather was bright and sunny and the food even more scintillating. Councilwoman Gloria Oh helped cook burgers at a large grill and a Sabrett stand provided franks with all the toppings. A cotton candy machine and popcorn machine delighted children as well as their parents.
“This is such a fun event,” Councilwoman and Community Events Director Ellen Park said. “It brings our community together with activities for all ages. Everyone from toddlers to seniors is having a great time!”
The borough’s Community Night Out was, indeed, an event for everyone. Older residents enjoyed their food and chatted while sitting on benches, while youngsters frolicked through the mini carnival that had been set up by Drown the Clown. There was an inflatable slide, a bouncy house, batting cages and many other games and exhibits where kids spun wheels to win prizes.
There was also non-stop entertainment all evening long as DJ Joey Liberti played music that was loud and lively.
Other elected officials at the Community Night Out were Mayor Mario Kranjac and his wife Nancy, Councilmen Ed Aversa and William Woo.
The event was sponsored by the Sekas Law Group, ALPS LLC., Bergen Protect System, Parkway Toyota & CHT Group.
