Then there are the restaurants: diverse delights from Alementary Brewery, Bibi’s, Cafe Anello, Ciel Dessert, Conrad’s Confectionery, Cricket Hill Brewery, Defiant Brewery, Goldberg’s Bagels, Hanami, Harmony Tea Room, The Iron Horse, Jack’s Cafe, Johnny’s Italian Market, Kimchi Smoke BBQ, The Melting Pot, Mezza, P.J. Finnegan’s, Sogno Coffee, Super Cellars, Ventimiglia Vineyards, and Westwood Prime Meats.

The Taste of Westwood began in 2009 as a fundraiser for the Friends of the Westwood Library, and has grown into an area staple. According to Councilmember Beth Dell, the council’s liaison to the library, the funds raised become more vital each year as a way to supplement the library’s shrinking funds as municipal governments struggle to manage their capped budgets with rising expenses.

And it’s going to be delicious.

“This event showcases local restaurants with some of their signature dishes as well as winery and brewery boast opportunities,” she added.

Full disclosure: The Pascack Press is a proud event sponsor alongside Oritani Bank, Hackensack Meridian Health, Pascack Valley Medical Center, the Westwood Education Association, and nearly a dozen others.
