PALISADES INTERSTATE PARK, N.J.—On Aug. 10 at about 2:27 p.m., the Palisades Interstate Parkway Police received calls reporting a motorcycle crash on the southbound Interstate Parkway Exit 4 ramp in Alpine, said Lt. Jock Watkins.
Officers on the scene assisted civilians who had started first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation until paramedics from Englewood Hospital, Rockland County, and Closter responded and took over patient care, Watkins said.
The victim, a 31-year-old male from Brooklyn, N.Y., had been operating a black 2009 Buell motorcycle at the time of the crash. He was transported to Englewood Hospital where he was pronounced deceased, said Watkins.
This incident is under investigation and anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact the Palisades Interstate Parkway Police Detective Bureau.
