NORWOOD, N.J.—Life is the ultimate balancing act and the only constant is change, say Certified Health Coach Stefanie Levine and Registered Dietitian Jackie Baumrind.
“Work and play. Relationships and independence. And the all important equation of mind, body and you. It can be satisfying. It can also be stressful,” they say.
As founders of Wellness Made Simple, Norwood residents Levine and Baumrind are working to help people live a more balanced and sustainable lifestyle.
To that end, Wellness Made Simple is bringing two renowned professionals to a Women’s Wellness Day event that will focus on mind, body and stress. It will be held at 65 Dwarskill Lane, Norwood on Sept. 18, and features speaker presentations from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by a vendor marketplace.
“Our Women’s Wellness Day is a chance to gather with other women and hear from experts on how to achieve a life in balance,” say Levine and Baumrind. “Through presentations from an integrative medicine physician and a spiritual wellness expert you’ll learn how to achieve greater balance and enhance wellness.”
The first expert is Dr. Rashmi Gulati, an internal and integrative medicine specialist known to provide innovative, individualized health care that nurtures mind, body and spirit and is based on each individual’s DNA.
The second expert is Jennifer Graf, a licensed clinical social worker, yoga teacher and Reiki master, who helped birth the Graf Center for Integrative Medicine at Englewood Hospital.
Both experts will bring unique perspectives to the event. The cost to attend is $40 per person, and you can email wellnessmadesimple1@gmail.com to register.
“Dr. Gulati’s expansive knowledge of Eastern medical modalities and rigorous Western medical training enable her to share a wealth of venerable medical wisdom and compassionate, holistic healing care with her patients,” the event’s organizers said. “She balances cutting edge methodology and time-honored, traditional medical practices, seeing preventative health care as a true avenue to wellness.”
Gulati will discuss how the interaction of sleep, hormones and stress affect our weight and overall well-being. Dr. Gulati will share how lifestyle changes you can make will help you look and feel your best.
In addition to Graf’s work with Englewood Hospital, she runs workshops on meditation, gentle movement and mind body medicine for patients, hospital staff and the community.
“Jennifer considers herself blessed to be able to share the work she continually sees transform the lives of her clients physically, emotionally and spiritually.
In her private psychotherapy practice, Graf focuses on stress reduction and life balance, where she works with couples on creating safe communication and having needs met within the sacred relationship.
