Ghost Stories At The Pond Returns Oct. 26

Dress up in your Halloween costume and come to Ghost Stories at the Pond, Saturday, Oct. 26.

HAWORTH, N.J.—The Haworth Arts Committee (HAC) is excited to present the ninth annual Ghost Stories at the Pond on Saturday, October 26 from 7 to 8 p.m. (Rain date: Saturday, Nov. 2).

“This delightful family event includes multimedia ghost stories, live music and sing alongs, spooky poetry, and fun for all ages,” say arts committee organizers. “Traditional autumn refreshments will be served and glow sticks will be given to all young ‘ghouls’ who attend in costume! Like all of the Arts Committee’s events, this performance is free.”

Since 2011, the group has been promoting a broad range of artistic endeavors in Haworth, including the Spring Music Series at the Pond, Midsummer Night’s Jam, and the Haworth Coffeehouse and Open Mic throughout the year. Performances in past years have included Peter and the Wolf performed with live woodwind quintet, The Big Broadcast Radio Show, and Silly Shakespeare’s “McNoooo!” an original spoof of Macbeth.

Leader Claudia Gaard has said, “The HAC is recognized in the community as a proactive and creative force to entertain and educate.”

“The beautiful Haworth Gazebo by the Pond is on Haworth Avenue, across from Borough Hall,” said organizers. “Bring your own chairs and/or blankets,  and dress for the evening air.  For more information go to www.haworthnj.org  or visit us on Facebook.”
