HAWORTH
Stop leads to warrant arrest — On Dec. 1 at approximately 9 a.m., Officer Anthony Butler reported conducting a motor vehicle stop on Sunset Avenue with a vehicle bearing a New Jersey registration.

Investigation revealed a 26-year-old Roselle man in the car had a criminal arrest warrant originating from Haworth, bail set at $174.

The man was arrested and taken to Haworth Police Headquarters for processing. He posted bail and was released on his own recognizance with two motor vehicle summonses.

Drug arrest after Valley Road stop — On Dec. 6 at approximately 9:22 a.m., Officer Kevin McKeary reported conducting a motor vehicle stop on Valley Road with a vehicle bearing a New Jersey registration.

Investigation revealed a 26-year-old male passenger (residing in Northvale) was in possession of a controlled dangerous substance—marijuana—and drug paraphernalia.

He was arrested, taken to headquarters for processing, and issued a complaint-summons charging him with possession of marijuana 50 grams or less and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was released on his own recognizance with three motor vehicle summonses.

Stopped on the road and arrested over marijuana — On Dec. 6 at approximately 8:45 p.m., Officer Andrew Soltes reported conducting a motor vehicle stop on Schraalenburgh Road with a vehicle bearing a New Jersey registration.

Investigation revealed the 23-year-old male driver (residing in Dumont) was in possession of prescription legend drugs, in an amount of four or fewer dosage units.

The man was arrested and taken to headquarters for processing. The defendant was subsequently issued a complaint-summons charging him with possession of prescription legend drugs, in an amount of four or fewer dosage units.

He was fingerprinted, photographed and released on his own recognizance with two motor vehicle summonses.

Paterson driver arrested over pot — On Dec. 6 at approximately 11:30 p.m., Officer Andrew Soltes reported conducting a motor vehicle stop on Hardenburgh Avenue with a vehicle bearing a New Jersey registration.

Investigation revealed the 29-year-old female driver (residing in Paterson) was in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, namely marijuana.

She was arrested and taken to headquarters for processing. The defendant was subsequently issued a complaint-summons charging her with possession of marijuana 50 grams or less.

She was fingerprinted, photographed and released on her own recognizance with two motor vehicle summonses.
