HILLSDALE, N.J.—Shoppers at ShopRite of Hillsdale will soon see familiar faces on their cereal shelves.

Store team members Jack Callaghan and Shirley Jackson are being honored with their appearance on a special-edition Cheerios box, recognizing their leadership in the fight against hunger through ShopRite Partners in Caring. The box will be unveiled during a public celebration at the Hillsdale store, 372 Broadway, on Friday, April 11 at 1 p.m.

As part of the event, Inserra Supermarkets ShopRite of Hillsdale will also present a $2,500 donation to the St. Andrew’s Church Food Pantry in Westwood to support its work helping neighbors in need.

The recognition follows a successful campaign in 2024, during which the Hillsdale ShopRite raised more than $8,500 in donations for ShopRite Partners in Caring. In addition, the store helped collect approximately $5,500 worth of food, distributed to three Pascack Valley food pantries. According to store representatives, the combined value of funds and food donated totaled more than $14,000 in support of hunger relief.

One of the food drives was supported by FIRST Team 1676 Pascack Pi-oneers, the Pascack Valley Regional High School District’s robotics team, further demonstrating how young people and families are joining the effort. Benefitting were clients of Helping Hand Food Pantry and The Tri-Boro Food Pantry.

The event is open to the public and will highlight local achievements in hunger relief and the unique honor of seeing hometown faces featured on a nationally distributed product.
