James Anthony McPeak, 76, of the Township of Washington, N.J., passed away on June 12, 2018. He was born n Oct. 30, 1941, in Brooklyn, N.Y. to James Joseph and Dagmar Bahr McPeak.
Beloved husband of Virginia “Ginner” McPeak for 51 years. Loving father of Maureen Thissen (Henry), James J. (Lynn), Matthew (Karen), Kelly Lorentzen (Allan). Adoring grandfather of Christopher, Cortney, Caitlyn and Henry James Thissen and Madeline Lorentzen. Great grandfather of Brayden Thissen. Preceeded in death by sisters Ellen Carroll, Irene McPeak, Dagmar Wagner, Elizabeth O’Connor, and brother Anthony James McPeak.
Brother-in-law of Joan and John Downey and James and Barbara Taylor, and also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkmack Road Westwood, N.J., on Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m. Funeral Liturgy is at Church of the Assumption, 29 Jefferson Ave., Emerson, N.J. at 9 a.m. Entombment at Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah, N.J.
