
RIVER VALE — The Community Chest of Eastern Bergen County will hold its annual benefit, Jazz and Generosity, on Thursday, Sept. 25 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Edgewood Country Club, 449 Rivervale Road. Emmy Award-winning TV journalist and producer Harry Martin returns as emcee.
Proceeds support nonprofit organizations and Community Chest initiatives serving people in need in eastern Bergen County. In honor of Hunger Action Month, table centerpieces will feature fresh fruit donated to local food pantries, and guests will receive reusable swag bags to fill with pantry donations.

This year’s honorees include:
- Community Service Award: Franci Steinberg
- Philanthropic Family Award: David and Kayla Jiang, and John and Gracen Wilkens
- Community Action Heroes: Gilly Garrett, P.O. Matt Stanislao, and Courtnay Johnson Suffern
Entertainment will feature the Richard Baratta Quartet with special guest pianist Vyacheslav Gryaznov. The evening includes cocktails, dinner, awards, jazz, and a benefit auction with auctioneer Amy Papola.
