CLOSTER, N.J.—Joey’s Fund is proud to announce its Fifth Annual Charity Classic Car Show.
“Joey’s Fund was created in honor of our son Joseph DeCarlo,” said Tony and Cathy DeCarlo. “Joey was diagnosed with leukemia and taken from us too soon. To honor Joey, we want to help others in the same position as our family was when our son was in the hospital.”
Joey’s Fund is dedicated to easing the challenges that parents and children face when caring for someone suffering.
“While insurance covers most medical expenses, there are so many unforeseen costs that are not covered,” the DeCarlos said.
This year, the event will be “paying it forward” and donating proceeds to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Care Center to provide help with expenses for families in need.
“In an effort to provide ongoing relief to struggling families suffering from these financial hardships, we are again asking our valued friends, neighbors, proprietors and clients for their sponsorship in helping us ‘pay it forward’ once more,” the DeCarlos wrote.
This year’s event will be held Saturday, Sept. 28 at St. Mary’s Church, 20 Legion Pl., Closter, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
“The show will feature classic cars, a DJ, trophies, food trucks, door prizes, 50/50s and raffles for jewelry, a flat screen TV, a grill and more,” the DeCarlos said.
Any donations in any monetary amounts are welcome and can be made online by visiting the Joey’s Fund website at www.JoeysCharityFund.org, or by mailing to Joey’s Fund, 436 Hillcrest Place, Floor 2, Palisades Park, NJ 07650.
