ENGLEWOOD, N.J.—The Northern Valley League of Women Voters will host a candidate forum on Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 7 p.m.
“Two candidates competing for one council seat in Englewood’s Fourth Ward—Wayne Hamer (Democrat) and Richard Wilby (Independent)—will appear at [7 p.m.],” the league told Northern Valley Press. “About an hour later, four candidates competing for three school board seats— Angela David, William Feinstein, Suzanne Mullings and Samuel Trusty—will have the same opportunity.”
The league says both forums will allow voters a face-to-face opportunity to hear directly and ask questions of candidates who are running for election to serve on the Englewood City Council and as trustees for the Englewood Board of Education.
The forum is sponsored by the Northern Valley League of Women Voters. Both forums will be held at the Municipal Courtroom, 73 S. Van Brunt St. in Englewood and will begin promptly at 7 p.m.
The League of Women Voters of Northern Valley, a nonpartisan political organization, is one of more than 700 local Leagues nationwide encouraging informed and active participation in government, working to increase understanding of public policy issues and influencing public policy through education and advocacy.
