
EMERSON, N.J.–A local man survived a glancing blow by a commuter train on Tuesday, Feb. 25.
Responders said the middle-aged man had stepped in front of an NJ Transit train behind Stop & Shop off Kinderkamack Road just after 4 p.m., sustaining non-life-threatening head and shoulder injuries.
The train had been traveling at 45 mph, responders said. The man was treated at Hackensack University Medical Center.
