Man arrested in Englewood for intent to distribute Fentanyl

On Feb. 13, pursuant to a narcotics investigation, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office conducted a motor vehicle stop of Louis Vasquez, of Bronx, N.Y., in the area of Englewood. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed 5 kilograms of suspected Fentanyl in an electronically operated aftermarket hidden compartment, as well as $5,938 in suspected drug proceeds.

Vasquez was arrested in Englewood and charged with one count of possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance, namely Fentanyl, a second-degree crime; one count of uttering a false government document, a third-degree crime; and one count of impersonation; theft of identity, a fourth-degree crime.

He was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a detention hearing on Feb. 16.
