TEANECK, N.J.—Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said August Samek, 46, of Colonial Court, Teaneck, was arrested and charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault and second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
On Aug. 11, the Teaneck Police Department received information that a juvenile had just been sexually assaulted by Samek in Teaneck, Musella said.
As a result of an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Teaneck Police Department, Samek was arrested on Monday, Aug. 12. He was lodged in the Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.
Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and would like to thank the Teaneck Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.
