HARRINGTON PARK — The Garden Club of Harrington Park will hold its next meeting on Thursday, Oct. 2, at 7:30 p.m. in the Community Church’s Founders’ Hall, 1 Spring St.

Guest speaker Shannon Mulligan-Mayernik, herbalist and plant medicine maker, and owner of Mayernik Kitchen, will present “Medicinal Herbs from Your Own Backyard.” She will share ways to incorporate herbs into everyday life this autumn, from easing seasonal allergies to boosting immunity and preparing for the colder months.

Mulligan-Mayernik will bring fresh herbs foraged from her yard that morning, an herbal infusion to sample, and products to test, including her popular elderberry syrup. Elderberry syrup and fire tonic will also be available for purchase.

A donation of $5 for members and $10 for non-members is requested to defray the lecturer’s fee. A Q&A and refreshments will follow.

The Garden Club welcomes gardeners of all experience levels, from any town. For more information, visit gardenclubofharringtonpark.com.
