Moderna vaccine booster offered April 6 in Waldwick

PASCACK VALLEY AREA—Booster doses of Moderna’s Covid-19 vaccine will be available Wed., April 6 at the Waldwick Health Clinic for individuals with immune deficiencies and adults 50-plus who have received the one-dose or two-dose vaccine series, Northwest Bergen Regional Health Commission said in an update April 1.

NWBRHC provides health services to 10 Bergen County municipalities, including in our area Emerson, Hillsdale, Montvale, River Vale, and the Township of Washington.

To receive a booster dose or third dose of the vaccine, you must have completed your two-dose series (Pfizer or Moderna) by Nov. 1, 2021 or completed your one-dose vaccine series (Johnson and Johnson) Feb. 1, 2022.

To receive a second booster dose of the vaccine, individuals must have completed a two-dose vaccine and booster or a one-dose vaccine and booster by Dec. 1, 2021.

If individuals have concerns regarding eligibility for the vaccine, the health agency advises them to contact their health care provider. All individuals scheduled to receive a booster shot must bring their vaccination cards and wear a mask to the clinic, said health officials.

The health clinic is at 22 Whites Lane, Waldwick, behind the ambulance corps building. The vaccine clinic runs 10 to 11:30 a.m.
