MONTVALE, N.J.—Robert J. Setnitzky, 57, of Montvale was charged with possession of child pornography in an amount greater than 1,000 files, said Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella.

The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit investigated Setnitzky and determined that Setnitzky used the internet to “view, download, and possess” the digital files, which depicted “nude and sexually explicit prepubescent and pubescent children,” Musella said.

Setnitzky, who works for the state Department of Transportation, was arrested and charged Friday in Paramus.

He was released with conditions following a first appearance in Bergen County Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack Saturday, Musella said.

Setnitzky began working with the state DOT a year ago. Before that he drove a truck for a transportation and logistics company, his online resume says.
