News Tips

Your tips help us cover the stories that matter most: local issues, public safety, achievements, or community events.

We respect confidentiality and handle all tips with care.

Press Releases & Milestones

  • Press releases: Email text in Word or plain text (not PDF). Include a clear headline, summary, contact info, and high-resolution photos with captions/credits.
  • Milestones: Share achievements such as anniversaries or birthdays with names, dates, and a short description. Photos welcome.
  • Coverage requests: Email a brief pitch at least two weeks before your event with date, time, location, and spokesperson details.

Send all to pascackpress@thepressgroup.net.

Photography

Great photos make stories come alive.

  • Send high-resolution images (300 DPI, 1MB+) in JPEG, PNG, or TIFF.
  • Include captions (who, what, when, where) and photo credits.
  • Avoid heavily posed “line-up” or “grip-and-grin” shots; candid, story-telling images are best.
  • For group shots, ensure subjects all look to your lens.

Deadline: Noon Wednesday for the next issue.

Obituaries

We publish obituaries free of charge as a community service.

  • Deadline: Wednesday, 11 a.m. for the upcoming edition.
  • Length: 250–500 words recommended.
  • Include full name, birth and passing dates, highlights of life, family, and service info.
  • Photos welcome (high-resolution JPEG/PNG)

Submit obituaries to pascackpress@thepressgroup.net.
