Newscaster Linsey Davis To Read Her Children’s Book at Englewood’s First Presbyterian Church March 15

The First Presbyterian Church of Englewood will present Linsey Davis, ABC News correspondent and award winning children's book author, who will read from her books on Sunday, March 15 at 1 p.m.

ENGLEWOOD, N.J.—The First Presbyterian Church of Englewood is celebrating its 160th year with a series of monthly events that will let the public become part of the exciting activities that this vibrant and growing congregation enjoy.

First Presbyterian, the oldest church in Englewood, has a tradition of change which meets the needs of today’s modern communities.

The kick-off event for the anniversary celebration is a book reading and signing with author and news correspondent, Linsey Davis. She will present her charming award winning children’s books on Sunday, March 15 at 1 p.m. in the church’s Elmore Hall.

Davis is an ABC News correspondent filing reports for World News, Good Morning America, 20/20 and Nightline. Recently she acted as moderator for a Democratic presidential debate, asking the candidates hard questions. Her second children’s book “One Big Heart: A Celebration of Being More Alike Than Different,” is following up on the success of her award-winning picture book “The World is Awake.”

“People often say kids don’t see color. I totally disagree with that premise. Kids do see color. They just don’t assign a value to it. Adults do that,” said Davis. “As much as this is a book for children, this is also a reminder for adults; Sometimes the big people need to learn from the little people.”

The public is invited to attend this free event at the First Presbyterian Church, 150 East Palisade Avenue, Englewood.

Children and parents from all northern New Jersey communities are welcome to attend; New Yorkers are invited, too.

There will be refreshments and children will have the opportunity to take pictures with the author.

To make sure that there is seating for all, reservations are required. Please reserve free tickets at eventbrite.com or fpce.us/LinseyDavis
