Dorothy McCarter, 90, formerly of Emerson, passed away on Dec. 3, 2018, at Home of the Good Shepherd. She was born on July 1, 1928 in Albany, N.Y., and was the daughter of the late George and Helen (Homan) Marlow.
Dorothy is survived by her beloved children Clyde S. (Linda) McCarter, Claire M. (Timothy) Murphy, Eve M. (Daniel) Beauregard, Megan S. (Gary) McCarter, Bruce M. McCarter, Brian M. McCarter, Maureen McCarter, David W. (Doris) McCarter and Mathew D. (Cathy-Jo) McCarter; her loving grandchildren Lauryn, Kevin, Caitlin, Haley, Joshua, Meghan, Aidan, Emme, Jesse and Jason; and her dear niece Linda Marlowe and grandnieces Jackie and Kristy.
Dorothy is predeceased by her loving husband, Clyde Campbell McCarter; her brother, Eugene Marlowe; and her granddaughter, Rachel.
Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2018, from 4 to 7 p.m., at Townley and Wheeler Funeral Home, Ballston Lake, NY 12019.
A memorial mass will be held at 10:15 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2018, at Church of the Assumption, Emerson. Interment will follow immediately in St. Andrews Cemetery, River Vale.
