Henry M. Motyka, of Norwood, 64, died at Hackensack Hospital on Sunday, July 15, 2018. Born July 31, 1953 in Bayside Queens, he grew up in New Hyde Park on Long Island in New York, and lived most recently for many years in Norwood. He worked at Coopers and Lybrand as a manager and IT specialist. He was active in the community, especially with Neighbors Helping Neighbors in Bergen County. Henry gladly lent his expertise to countless people in need of advice and consultation. He had a big heart and a fine mind. He was a devout parishioner at Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church in Harrington Park.
His immediate survivors include his siblings: John Motyka, Mary Jo Motyka, Robert Motyka, and Madelyn Robbins. Henry will also be remembered by his sister-in-law, Susan Motyka, his brother-in-law Kirk Robbins, his two nieces, and many cousins. A wake was held at Moritz Funeral Home in Closter. The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church in Harrington Park. Burial followed at Rockland Cemetery.
