Jennifer M. Kolax, 46, of Hillsdale, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 25, 2018 at Villa Marie Claire Hospice in New Jersey, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Jenn was given the gift of life, and now had to give it back.
Jenn was a lucky woman who lived a happy life. She first got sick in March 2012, she fought long and hard, never losing hope. She loved spending time with her husband and two daughters. Jenn loved reading, taking walks and family movie nights. She used spiritual and alternative medicines, besides her treatments. She was at peace.
Surviving are her parents Maureen Iovino and Albert Paul Nichols Jr, her husband Benjamin Kolax with their two daughters Sophie and Julia, her brothers Edward and Thomas Nichols, also her sisters in-law and many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Memorial Service was held on Thursday, May 31 at St. John’s Baptist Church in Hillsdale.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the college fund of Sophie and Julia Kolax, Jennifer’s daughters. Contributions should be made out to “Tomorrow’s Scholar Plan” and sent to 52 Brookview Terrace, Hillsdale, N.J. 07642.
