HACKENSACK—Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced arrests and charges against four individuals stemming from an aggravated assault investigation connected to an incident outside The Park Steakhouse.
Charged are Nicholas K. Dispoto, 31, of Hillsdale; Jason R. Vradenburg, 28, of Park Ridge; Martina L. McGee, 29, of Hillsdale; and Thomas M. Schiavone, 59, of St. James City, Florida, prosecutors said. The investigation was conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, under Chief Jeff Angermeyer, and the Park Ridge Police Department, under Chief Joseph Rampolla.
Prosecutors said Park Ridge police responded to a disturbance in progress Dec. 6, 2025, in front of The Park Steakhouse. Officers located an adult male on the ground with an apparent head injury, authorities said. The victim was transported to an area hospital by EMS with serious injuries, was hospitalized, and was released several days later.
During the initial investigation, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Confidential Investigations Unit was notified, prosecutors said. The Prosecutor’s Office later superseded the investigation and determined that Dispoto — an off-duty Montvale Police Department officer — was involved in a physical altercation that led to the victim’s significant bodily injury, according to the prosecutor’s office.
Prosecutors further alleged that Dispoto concealed himself inside The Park Steakhouse while responding officers arrived on scene.
The investigation also determined that Vradenburg — an off-duty Park Ridge police officer — along with McGee and Schiavone, provided responding officers with false information that aided in concealing Dispoto’s alleged involvement, prosecutors said.
Vradenburg was arrested Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026, and charged with:
- Third-degree endangering an injured victim (N.J.S.A. 2C:12-1.2A)
- Third-degree tampering with public records (N.J.S.A. 2C:28-7A(2))
- Fourth-degree hindering apprehension of another (N.J.S.A. 2C:29-3A(1))
Prosecutors said he was released pending a first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack.
Dispoto was arrested Friday, Feb. 13, 2026, and charged with:
- Third-degree aggravated assault (N.J.S.A. 2C:12-1B(7))
- Third-degree endangering an injured victim (N.J.S.A. 2C:12-1.2A)
- Fourth-degree obstructing administration of law (N.J.S.A. 2C:29-1A)
He was released pending a first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, prosecutors said.
Also Feb. 13, McGee and Schiavone were each charged with fourth-degree hindering apprehension of another (N.J.S.A. 2C:29-3A(1)), prosecutors said. Authorities said both are pending a first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack.
Musella emphasized that the charges are accusations and that defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
