PARK RIDGE, N.J.–Park Ridge Animal Hospital hosted an open house on Sunday, Oct. 6 featuring educational seminars including a pet first aid and CPR demonstration by Medical Director Dr. Donna Manderino.
Trained veterinary technicians and veterinarians discussed preventative care, surgery and dentistry, acupuncture, ultrasound, and physical rehabilitation.
In addition, there were pets available for adoption from both Halfway Hounds and Angels For Animals.
Tyco was present to educate people about how to live with local wildlife. Mickey’s Kids provided information about their program providing assistance dogs for children with special needs.
There was entertainment for all ages. Dolly the Clown provided balloon animals and entertainment and The Balloon Chica applied glitter tattoos.
Tails of Hope Foundation and the Paterson Police Department turned out as well, providing information about their support programs for working dogs. Paterson police K-9 Simpson and his handlers, including Sgt. Ryan Curving, demonstrated his duties including protection and article searches.
