Players Guild Presents ‘Calendar Girls’

LEONIA, N.J.—The Players Guild of Leonia unveils “Calendar Girls,” May 3-19.

“When members of a very ordinary Yorkshire women’s group take extraordinary steps to raise cancer research funds for their local hospital by posing for a unique and wee-bit naughty calendar, they spark a global phenomenon,” The Players Guild says of their new production.

Based on a 1999 true story and a 2003 smash hit movie, Tim Firth’s comedy about women who are willing to bare it all for charity is revealing, inspiring and hilarious.

It’s directed by Dori Persson and features a cast that includes: Joanne Moldt, Suzanne Renaud, Laura Ward, Diane Arabella, Beth Parrillo, Danielle Tolep, Claudia MacDermott, Patricia Phillips, Helene Marshall, Joanne Guarnaccia, Alison Miller, Alice Boarman Garcia, Steve Moldt, Frank Osmers, Chris Milone and Bill Benedict.
