Drivers caught with drugs and paraphernalia
–On Aug. 2, at 11:31 p.m., Sgt. Gianluca Ragone and Officer Christopher Carey pulled a car over on Schraalenburgh Road, and investigation revealed that a 23-year-old River Edge man was in possession of drug paraphernalia. The driver was arrested, and faces charges of possession, in addition to two motor vehicle summonses.
-On Aug. 4, at 12:18 a.m., Sgt. Ragone and Officer Carey pulled a car over on Schraalenburgh Road, revealing that two Bergenfield men, ages 25 and 23, were in possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, as well as paraphernalia. The two were arrested and it was revealed that the passenger also had an active warrant from Elmwood Park, for which he posted bail. The two now face possession charges, and the driver was issued four motor vehicle summonses.
-On Aug. 7, at 12:35 a.m., Officer Andrew Soltes pulled a car over on Pleasant Street and investigation revealed that the 38-year-old Dumont man was in possession of 5 ounces of marijuana. He was charged with possession and intent to distribute the drug. He was arrested, processed and released pending a court date. The driver was also issued five motor vehicle summonses.
-On Aug. 8, at 1:14 a.m., Officer Soltes pulled over a car on Sunset Avenue. Investigation revealed that the driver, a 27-year-old New Milford man, was allegedly in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The actor was arrested and released pending a hearing on possession charges. He was also issued four motor vehicle summonses.
