Prosecutors Ask For Assistance Identifying Ho-Ho-Kus Hit-and-Run Driver

HO-HO-KUS, N.J.—A Nov. 26 hit-and-run suspect’s vehicle is depicted in recently released surveillance image, and prosecutors are asking for assistance identifying the car and its driver. 

A victim was seriously injured that day in the crash at about 6:50 p.m. at the intersection of North Maple Avenue and First Street. Authorities said Dec. 26 that they now believe the car to be a red coupe or sedan, either a 2009 Infiniti G37, a 2013-2015 Honda Accord, or a 2018-2019 Hyundai Sonata. 

“Anyone with information regarding this hit-and-run collision is encouraged to contact the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Fatal Accident Investigation Unit at (201) 226-5595, or the Ho-Ho-Kus Police Department at (201) 652-1700,” said Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella. 

The victim, a 57-year-old woman, was treated for serious injuries at Hackensack University Medical Center. The vehicle fled northbound on North Maple Avenue after the collision.
