Public Input Sought In School Chief Search

CLOSTER, N.J.—The Closter Board of Education has announced that a Superintendent Search Community Input Session will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 23 from 7 to 8 p.m. The input session will be held in the auditorium of Tenakill Middle School at 275 High St., Closter.

The board invites residents to attend. It says information gathered will be used to identify criteria for optimal qualities, background, and experience desired in a new superintendent of schools.

“Our search consultant, Matt Lee of the New Jersey School Boards Association, will explain the search process and procedure, the roles played by the board, staff, and the public in the process, and the timeline of the search,” the board said, in a statement. “The information gathered at the evening session will be used to shape interview questions and a variety of candidate review documents.”

You do not need to RSVP to attend. For more information, call the Board Office at (973) 764-2900.
