Hillsdale, New Jersey — From March 15-17, Pascack Valley High School’s award-winning theatre program will present the Tony- and Pulitzer-award-winning musical “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.” This tune-filled comic gem boasts an exhilarating score by Frank Loesser, including “I Believe in You,” “Brotherhood of Man” and “The Company Way.”

A satire of big business and all it holds sacred, “How to Succeed” follows the rise of J. Pierrepont Finch (senior Ryan Muska of River Vale), who climbs the corporate ladder from lowly window washer to high-powered executive. Along the way he tackles such familiar but potent dangers as the aggressively compliant “company man,” office infidelities, backstabbing co-workers, the office party, caffeine addiction and, of course, true love.

The 56-student cast also includes junior Ruby Comiskey of Hillsdale as Rosemary, Finch’s love interest; senior Carleigh Boyle of Hillsdale as Smitty, Rosemary’s best friend; senior Aaron Correa of River Vale as company boss J.B. Biggley; junior Keara Fernandez of River Vale as Hedy La Rue, his mistress-turned-secretary; and senior Karl Hauck of River Vale as the boss’s scheming nephew Bud Frump.

Behind the scenes, another 45 students are part of the show’s crew, orchestra, and stage management team, making PV Theatre the most popular extracurricular activity at Pascack Valley High School.

“How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying” will play four performances at Pascack Valley High School from Thursday, March 15 through Saturday, March 17. There will be a 7 p.m. performance nightly, and a matinee at 1 p.m. on March 17.

Tickets are $18 ($7 for students). To purchase, you can visit pvhstheatre.org or call the box office at (201) 312-4122. Tickets are also sold at the door one hour prior to each performance. Pascack Valley High School is located at 200 Piermont Ave., Hillsdale.
