To the editor:
If you spend 36-plus years in the healthcare arena you tend to see the trends and changes. Most of my patients claim their insurance companies restrict access, alter their care and interfere with the doctor–patient relationship. Doctors who know their patients are an asset to their patiences. This is not a mystery.
Recent legislation that may sound good on the surface but restrict your choice which physicians you may use or the multitude of procedures you may want or need. Who should make that decision? That’s correct, you and your doctor.
Who is the prime sponsor of legislation to include health care transparency for patients and parody for doctors. Who wants to bring back the doctor–patient relationship? Holly Schepisi. If you ask Holly about her experience as a legislator and a patient of serious healthcare issues, she has experience. She knows what it is like to be on both sides of the issue. The choice is clear if you want someone to help you access your healthcare rights: Holly Schepisi for Assembly District 39 Nov. 5.
