MONTVALE, N.J.—You’ll Love “She Loves Me”! So says the award-winning performing arts program at St. Joseph Regional High School, 40 Chestnut Ridge Road, which is presenting “She Loves Me,” the musical stage version of the 1998 movie “You’ve Got Mail” starring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan, at the Inserra Theater.
The Tony Award-winning musical is a euphoric romantic comedy with a soaring score. The third adaptation of the 1937 play “Parfumerie” by Miklos Laszlo, it was revived on Broadway in 2016 and tells a fun story of love. The plot revolves around Budapest shop employees Georg Nowack and Amalia Balash who, despite being consistently at odds with each other at work, are unaware that each is the other’s secret pen pal met through lonely-hearts ads.
